Class Description
This active, hands-on course teaches you a broad spread of business and management theory. You’ll learn practical skills with an emphasis on your career and professional development. This means you can get ahead at work or decide which area of your studies you’d like to continue with.
You can study part-time during the day or evening over 18 months, to fit the course in around your current life and work.
What’s covered in the course?
You’ll explore the basics of marketing, economics and finance, as well more specialist areas like business law and management reporting.
You will learn how to communicate well and manage people, as well as investigate organisations and behaviours. You’ll also learn to manage your own professional development and study at either Birmingham Metropolitan College or South and City College Birmingham.
You can go on to study with us at degree level or use our dedicated student support services at the university to help you move forward in your career. Students who have chosen to continue with the Business and Management degree have gone on to work in graduate roles at BMW, HSBC and the NHS.
In addition, staff at the university are there to guide you through your course and help you decide which career route or further study might be right for you. They have experience in many different areas – from Marketing Director at Zurich International Solutions Europe to Director of Investment Business for businesses such as British Gas and the AA.
